If I only knew a way to have some of today's professional athletes read this blog... it would be priceless!

Imagine, if you can, what you could do with the money Mr. C.C. Sabthia recently signed for... or the money that Mr. Mark Teixeira is having such a hard time considering.

If I was able to sign my name for $200,000,000.00... I would be able to pay my bills for 36,363 months, which equates 3030.3 years.

THREE THOUSAND YEARS !!!!!!!!!!

Maybe the car companies should be asking the spokespeople for a bailout.

I hope all have a great holiday season. I would have sent you a card, but I can't afford it... even logging on to my favorite MLB team website, to consider buying tickets, cost 30 bucks!!!

As I look to 2009, I can honestly say that I do not know what the future holds in store for me, or my guide business.

Not unlike many of you, I need to drastically reduce my costs in order for not only my business, but my family, to survive. To make that happen, changes need to be made NOW, and I am currently unsure I have the votes.

Rest assured, until such a time that someone pulls the keys to my business from my cold dead hands, I will be operating with providing you a fantastic experience in the woods or on the waters/ice of Maine, as my primary function. I promise to make arrangements for all concerned should the future force a dreadful change of plans.

I wish you all health and good fortune for 2009 and beyond. I will continue to privately pray the same for me.

During the rest of 2008, minor changes will be made to Blood Mountain Guide Service. The changes will include a phasing out of some of the less popular services offered, while adding services that are more appealing.

The additions will include more attention given to fishing. Packages will be created geared toward families for weekends, or vacation weeks.

Changes are also in store for saltwater fishing. Inshore trips will be offered as either 1/2 day (approx. 5 hrs) and full day (approx. 10 hrs). Offshore trips (approx. 12 hrs) will also be offered. Any saltwater action will be priced for groups of 2-4 people.

I look at the coming changes as my offering more of what you are looking for. Please feel free to let me know what you think.
